Vision To Visuals: Focus On Fashion
In crisis, there is opportunity
Duggal has been producing high-end composite cards for models and actors for a long time, but by consolidating the whole gamut of fashion services under our new Focus on Fashion division, we can lead budding designers and talent like Suma through the fashion industry’s labyrinth and work with high-end fashion houses to produce custom presentations. Focus on Fashion brings the A to Z of fashion under one roof in a way that has never before been done. The art director at IMG Models, Alvin J. Fung, remarked that “Duggal’s quality of product is equaled only by their exceptional customer service.”
The most gratifying thing about taking Suma’s collection all the way from casting to producing the look book is to partake in the joy of these newcomers realizing their dreams. Chloe, a budding new model, was clothed in a collection by a first-time fashion designer and photographed by a seasoned fashion photographer—it made this process exciting for everyone, and in less than three weeks, we were able to translate a designer’s vision into a professional look book ready to present to buyers at Saks, Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus. The fresh, colorful, sexy and fluid forms of Suma’s chiffon-layered dresses and blouses provide a beautiful counterpoint to the malaise of the financial turbulence and reminded me of how important it is to remember at overwhelming times like this that true joy and beauty still can be found in small details.
