Carry your gear in the Lowepro Flipside 300, which features a unique back-compartment entry point for safer, easier access while shooting. With the waist strap securely fastened, simply slip off the shoulder straps, swivel the bag around to your front and unzip. The Flipside 300 holds a pro D-SLR with 300mm ƒ/2.8 lens attached, plus one to three additional lenses, flash units, tripod, multiple cables, memory cards and other accessories. Estimated Street Price: $80. Contact: Lowepro, (800) 800-LOWE, www.lowepro.com.

in focusInfrared Filter
Convert the Mamiya ZD Digital Back to an infrared camera using the Mamiya IR Photo Filter. It works by allowing the camera to capture the infrared spectrum when the IR Photo Filter YD401 is swapped out with the standard IR Cut Filter, which reduces infrared light transmission. The clear filter allows infrared light and visible light rays to get through. When you don't want to shoot infrared, simply switch the filters. You'll need to add an infrared filter (89B or 87) on the front of the lens to shoot typical infrared images. Estimated Street Price: $424. Contact: Mamiya, (914) 347-3300, www.mamiya.com.

Create the perfect composite by shooting your subjects in front of a greenscreen or bluescreen and remove any colorcast from that background with Digital Anarchy's Primatte Chromakey 3.0 for Photoshop. You then can place the subject on a custom background while preserving difficult details like wisps of hair, translucent glass and mesh fabrics. Version 3.0 features a one-click AutoMask button, better blending between subject and backdrop, and improved batch processing. The application fully supports Mac and Windows operating systems. Estimated Street Price: $299. Contact: Digital Anarchy, (415) 586-8434, www.digitalanarchy.com.

fantomPhoto Drive
Store your images on the Fantom Drives G-Force Quad Interface GF1000Q from MicroNet. The 1 TB external hard drive features four connectivity options: USB 2.0, FireWire 400 and 800, and eSATA with a maximum transfer speed of 300 MBps. The compact, fan-free, heat-dissipating aluminum design allows for portability and near-silent operation. Also included is NTI Shadow software for continuous, real-time backup. Estimated Street Price: $369. Contact: MicroNet, (800) 980-3463, www.micronet.com.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Billingham 550 shoulder bag is a classic design that has been a part of Billingham's line for almost as long as there have been camera bags. It endures for the simple reason that it works. It has ample space for the full range, from compact SLR up to medium-format cameras, lenses, flash, batteries, meters and other gear. Two reinforced exterior pockets with stud fastenings and a zippered external back pocket provide fast access and extra storage for the smaller necessities of your shoot. Estimated Street Price: $475. Contact: Billingham (R.T.S.), (631) 242-6801, www.rtsphoto.com.
