- Artist Statement: I am a creative soul who began my photographic journey as an oil painter needing images for reference in my paintings. I enjoyed photographing but never evolved beyond point & shoot until digital appeared. I loved instantly viewing my capture and was excited with the possibilities for recreating my photographs to more painterly & expressive works of art. Working in photoshop and Nik filters I have developed a style and signature that has awarded me with honors and gallery exhibitions of my work. My images are created with consideration to light & dark value and tonal range, the fundamentals of a good painting. I no longer have the time to paint as photography as taken over !!!!!
