- Artist Statement: My work is about Place, Time and Light. I use my camera to capture images of special places taken at a particular time and under specific conditions of light. My work is about a synthesis of Photography and the Computer. I bring the photographic images into the computer to collage and manipulate them to create the final piece. I want the final image to NOT look like it was created on a computer, however, by working at high-resolution to eliminate the evidence of pixels. I want the viewer to only see a painterly photographic final image. I feel that scale is important, so the final piece becomes a large-format Digital Print or a Digital Painting on canvas.
