- Description: In our time of rapid and constant change in a busy, noisy and demanding existence, a concern I’ve held to is that as we strive for and achieve “modernization”, we are distancing ourselves from our traditions, our foundations and our private, intimate selves. My more than a four decade odyssey with a camera has been to preserve glimpses of our cultural traditions of strength and dedication to pride of our foundations and to provide intimate glimpses into our everyday environment to achieve a peaceful, quiet and intimate moment of solitude. For one reason or other, I have found myself recording vignettes of our environment that show the passing of time, the decaying or overlooked elements that illustrate pride of the past that have a story to tell. My hope is that my images encourage people to slow down and listen to the many stories that surround us and just maybe, get to know their inner-selves.
