I redefined this image of a cowboy reining in his horse causing dust. I used multiple filters in Photoshop CS4 and Nik Software for a creative background. The shot was taken at a ranch in Scottsdale, AZ, USA I am a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE published competition winner and award-winning fine art photographer who travels the US and world making dramatic images of interesting people, places, nature and wildlife that captures action or a moment in time. Images that celebrate the spirit and beauty of horses in action, the American West and African animals are a few specialties. I like to make stunning contemporary one-of-a-kind works of art. Using innovative digital techniques, I often create artistic backgrounds or enhance drama and light to bring the viewer's eye to the subject. My image of the loving bond between a cowboy and his dog was chosen as a portrait winner in the 2011 COWBOYS & INDIANS MAGAZINE annual "Photographing the West" competition and is published in the March 2012 issue. I was one of 11 women selected to exhibit my Western Photographic Art in the first annual "Cowgirls With A Camera" Exhibition at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona from March 10 to May 27, 2012.
