Description

This one has a story . . . Was it worth it? Well, I was pretty tired after spending a sleepless but spectacular night in Yosemite while counting over 50+ strikes of thunder and lightning(some 2 miles away) a couple nights ago parked at Tunnel View. I must admit my two little dogs and I were a bit scared this time and couldn't sleep at all. Near dawn I decided to shoot some lightning since it had settled down quite a bit compared to hours before. After setting up my tripod and camera I realized my lightning trigger was malfunctioning so I decided to shoot a long exposure set in manual mode. Well . . . yes it was worth it! I captured this image within 10 seconds of my first 30 second exposure. I was lucky, thrilled and pleased this time! That was it . . . I packed up my gear and rushed off ready for more adventures in the park! Photographed with my new Canon 5DSr camera, Canon f2.8 16-35mm II lens, Induro Tripod, Really Right Stuff Head www.susantaylorphoto.com
