This iconic and popular valley view of Yosemite National Park started out with little interest or intriguing light two evenings ago. I was about to call it an evening since I had no seen and change in color for about an hour. While I was packing up my camera gear and returning to my truck I turned my head one last time and noticed a soft golden light starting to appear on El Capitan. Within minutes the soft subdued light turned into the most vivid and golden light I have ever witnessed in nature. I truly couldn't believe my eyes! I shot along the shore above the Merced River for about 10 minutes and then scrambled down to the shore through the river boulders and plants to capture this metallic golden glow at its peak!
