Gitzo has been innovating professional camera gear since 1917, and in honor of its 100th anniversary, the company is releasing two limited-edition travel tripods—the 100-Year Anniversary Edition and the Arséne Gitzhoven Traveler Tripod. Built for travel with their compact and lightweight form factor, both tripods are also designed for strength and precision, with elegant good looks.

The 100-Year Anniversary Edition tripod features a new magnesium spider, new leg angle selectors and locking collars, with a black finish and titanium color details. Additional specs are shared with Gitzo’s latest Traveler Series 1, including Carbon eXact tubing and a 180° leg folding mechanism, Traveler G-lock mechanism and new center ballhead.

Each tripod comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Gitzo’s CEO and the name of the craftsperson who made the piece. The magnesium tripod is available in a limited edition of 1917 pieces, with the number of each piece laser-engraved on one leg—1/1917 to 1917/1917. It’s priced at $1,499.99.

The Arséne Gitzhoven Traveler Tripod is named after the company’s founder, and is the first model to feature a newly designed full carbon-fiber spider for super-light weight, with new locking collars and selector lines. It has a deep matte black finish, sharing the same Gitzo Traveler Series 1 as noted in the 100-Year Anniversary Edition.
