Adobe has released Lightroom CC 2015.12, with added support for new cameras and lenses, plus bug fixes, in addition to updating Adobe Camera Raw with v9.12. Adobe noted that the version 9.11 designation was skipped for obvious reasons, hence Lightroom jumped from 2015.10 to 2015.12 to keep the naming conventions aligned across the programs, as they share Adobe’s Camera Raw imaging technology.
Here’s the list of new supported cameras for Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw:
- Canon EOS 6D Mark II
- Canon EOS 200D(EOS Kiss X9, EOS Rebel SL2)
- Leica TL2
- Nikon D7500
- Olympus Tough TG-5
Lightroom CC 2015.12 also adds new color matching camera profiles and additional lens support. Get all the details and installation instructions here.
As for Adobe Camera Raw 9.12, in addition to additional camera and lens support, and bug fixes, GPU-related performance improvements have been made to panning, zooming functionality and the local adjustment brush. Get more information from Adobe here.
And, finally, Adobe released an update for Lightroom Mobile for iOS and Android. Available through the iOS App Store, Lr gets a new selective brush, a new details tab and an improved iPad interface. For Android, Adobe says it has given Lr a complete redesign—it’s faster and more efficient for a better user experience.
