Pelican Air Case 1637
Pelican Products makes some of our favorite hard cases, and now has introduced three new sizes in the Pelican Air Case series—the 1557, 1607 and 1637—part of the company’s wider Protector Case line. There are now nine models in the Air Case series, which are up to 40% lighter and ruggedly designed to protect valuable gear during transport and travel.
Pelican re-engineered these cases, so they’re 45% deeper than the existing cases in the line. Made of a proprietary polypropylene blend, they’re also customizable, with these interior options to choose from:
- TrekPak® Divider system—durable, waterproof, closed-cell foam, laminated to corrugated panels (1557 only)
- Classic Pick N’ Pluck™ Foam—pre-scored foam that’s customized manually
- Padded Divider configuration—customizable, protective, padded dividers with Velcro™

Air Case 1557 has interior dimensions (L x W x D) of 17.33 x 13.00 x 9.75 inches, with a 19.18 x 15.79 x 10.50-inch exterior. Weight is 8.20 pounds, with foam, and 6.60 pounds, without. The 1557 model is wheel-less.
Air Case 1607 measures 21.05 x 15.81 x 11.63 inside, with exterior dimensions of 24.13 x 18.80 x 13.25 inches. Weight is 16.10 pounds, with foam, and 13.20 pounds, without, for the two-wheeled 1607.
Air Case 1637 has interior dimensions of 23.43 x 17.55 x 13.25 inches, with exterior dimensions of 26.61 x 20.65 x 14.87 inches. The two-wheeled model weighs 19.40 pounds, with foam, and 15.20 pounds, without.
