With nine aperture blades, the full-frame 16mm T2.6 can deliver a shallower depth of field than the 14mm. It features 14 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical, two extra-low dispersion and two high refractive lens elements, plus Rokinon’s Ultra Multi Coating and a computer-designed built-in petal-shaped lens hood to minimize aberrations, distortion and ghosting. The lens is calibrated in T stops (to T22) to provide accurate, consistent exposure, with de-clicked aperture for smooth, silent adjustment. Minimum focusing distance is 11.8 inches.
Priced at $599, the Rokinon 16mm T2.6 is available in Canon, Sony E, Nikon and Micro 4/3 mounts. The lens is scheduled for June 1, 2017 delivery.
