January 8, 2015 – Fiskeville, Rhode Island – Sihl Inc. announced that it’s launching the MASTERCLASS collection of fine inkjet line of professional photo and artistic papers for sale in the U.S. and Canada.
The new Sihl MASTERCLASS product line is comprised of 8 distinct products to provide photographers and artists with a new, distinct alternative for presenting their images and creations. Sihl, the world’s premier imaging coating company has leveraged its 500+ year history to develop the most distinct inkjet media collection available.
The inspiration for Sihl MASTERCLASS is to incorporate the most modern inkjet receptive coatings on substrates that rekindle the warmth and technique of classical photography. The MASTERCLASS Metallic Pearl High Gloss Paper is reminiscent of Cibachrome with its bright color and sharp detail. The MASTERCLASS Lustre Photo Paper combining a subtle luster finish with incredible resolution and color density and reminds us of how portraits can be elevated by using the correct finish. This product is also available in a double sided version (MASTERCLASS Lustre Photo Paper Duo) ideal to create photo books and presentations. The MASTERCLASS Satin Baryta Paper takes us back to the barite enhanced photopapers, with the same depth and luminescence that made these a staple in galleries worldwide. Sihl MASTERCLASS High Gloss Photo Paper combines an extreme high gloss finish with virtually no gloss differential even under the highest ink loads. The MASTERCLASS Smooth and Textured Matte Cotton Papers is a matched pair of acid-free, OBA-free 100% cotton paper made with super fine pigments to allow incredibly smooth color gradients. Rounding out the portfolio is MASTERCLASS Matt Photo Canvas, the smoothest, brightest canvas that not only images uniform skin tones but also resists edge cracking when stretched.
