The Artist is a self portrait of photographer William King, it is a composited image made up of two separate digital images. The background photograph of a paint slathered wall in Hells Kitchen in Manhattan photographed with a Sony ILCE-7RM2 with the Sony 16-25mm f2.8 GM lens. Exposure; ISO250 1/640 sec at f8. The foreground studio portrait was photographed with a Sony ILCE-6300 with a Sony FE 24-105 f4 G OSS lens. Exposure; ISO100, 1/125 at f13 at a focal length of 70mm. Lighting; The Godox AD400Pro with a Impact 7’ Parabolic Umbrella with Diffuser and a Creative Light Deluxe Silver/White 120cm reflector. I used my iPhone 6s with the Sony Imaging Edge App as a transmitter to operate the Sony RX10M3 camera. Images where processed first in Adobe Lightroom then in Adobe Photoshop engaging masking techniques.
