Story Behind the Shot: This photo was taken in late 2012 during the first event of the Escape to Miami Triathlon. I am a swimmer, too, and know that water provides a unique context when it comes to portraits. I waited for the swimmers to come out of the water and captured several of them. Although I had several good images, this was the one that took my breath away as soon as I reviewed them in camera. It was an intense exchange between the swimmer and the bay.
